About the Respiratory Center

Lung cancer is currently the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in Japan, and the total number of patients admitted to our hospital each year exceeds 300. By opening the Respiratory Center, we hope to meet the needs of local patients, hospitals, and clinics by facilitating the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer and other respiratory diseases.

Target Diseases

Lung cancer, asbestos-related diseases, acute and chronic respiratory failure, bronchial asthma, interstitial lung disease, COPD, sleep apnea syndrome, pneumothorax, pleurisy, etc.

We perform bronchoscopy (ultrasound bronchoscopy) every Monday and Thursday and also on other days in case of emergency. Thoracoscopy under local anesthesia is also performed to confirm the diagnosis of mesothelioma, pleurisy, etc. at an early stage.
