Features
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology performs various types of diagnostic imaging and endovascular treatment. 2 full-time and 1 part-time (Jikei University School of Medicine) physicians are in charge of diagnostic radiology, and all CT, MRI and RI diagnostic imaging reports are prepared. Endovascular treatment (minimally invasive treatment using catheters) is performed in close collaboration with the Departments of Neurosurgery and Cardiology to treat the entire body from head to toe. In particular, the Department of Diagnostic Radiology provides a wide range of treatments, including chemotherapy for malignant tumors such as liver cancer, emergency hemostasis for gastrointestinal and gynecological bleeding, CV port creation, and abscess drainage. In addition, emergency endovascular treatment is available on-call during nighttime and holidays.
The department also accepts orders for many examinations from outside clinics and hospitals, and has introduced an online reservation system for CT and MRI, which allows patients to view requested images from the reservation screen.
