Features
The Department of Internal Medicine includes four specialties: Gastroenterology, Nephrology and Metabolism, Respiratory Medicine, and Diabetes and Endocrinology. The total number of beds is 184, with a total of 77,109 outpatients and 3,198 discharged patients per year (all in FY2022). There are 13 certified internists and 8 specialists in general internal medicine.
Cooperation and interaction among the internal medicine departments are extremely good, and case review meetings, clinical pathology review meetings, abstract reading meetings, study groups, etc. are held jointly to acquire knowledge and important points of medical treatment outside of the specialty areas.
Since FY2020, the hospital has been a core facility for internal medicine specialty training and accepts residents who are training in our internal medicine program.
