Outpatient, The Department of Rehabilitation

Our department is a comprehensive approved facility with one of the most spacious rehabilitation rooms in Tokyo, and is staffed by full-time specialists. In addition, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and a clinical psychologist work part-time, providing a comprehensive approach to the various problems faced by people with physical disabilities. In addition to cerebrovascular disorders, respiratory diseases, and cancer, we provide rehabilitation services for spinal cord injuries, limb amputations, head trauma, and bone and joint disorders that are characteristic of workers’ compensation medicine. Outpatient care is provided from 8:30 a.m. daily from Monday through Friday, and as a rule, appointments are by appointment only.

Flow of rehabilitation in our department

Inpatients admitted to other departments and outpatients

1. a request for rehabilitation consultation will be issued after examination by the attending physician.*

2. Rehabilitation instructions are issued to each department after examination by the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.**

4. In the case of going from this hospital to another facility

The patient and his/her family will visit the facility of their choice and make preparations at least one month prior to the visit. In most cases, it takes more than one month to be admitted. In many cases, it is difficult to get admission to the facility of your choice, so we may proceed with several at the same time.

5. In the case of return to work, most cases are handled on an outpatient basis, and the actual training is referred to a specialized facility.

For those who have come from other hospitals for rehabilitation or for those who are seeking specialized outpatient services (The contact point is the Medical Consultation Office and MSW)

1. Please contact an MSW by phone.

2. Please send a letter of referral to the MSW.

3. Have a consultation with the rehabilitation department.

4. Rehabilitation instructions will be given to each department.*

5. Rehabilitation will be started.**

*Outpatient care for the purpose of rehabilitation is available every day.
**Outpatients will be seen by the rehabilitation department once a month. (For the purpose of program review, continuation, termination, etc.) In principle, rehabilitation is provided within the number limit of the standard calculation.
