Philosophy

We aim to provide high quality medical care for workers and the community, where they can receive medical care with peace of mind.

Basic Policy

  1. Establish a medical safety system based on accurate information.
  2. Communicate with other professions and provide highly accurate medical imaging information and treatment as a radiology professional.
  3. We will strive to prevent medical accidents and reduce radiation exposure by familiarizing ourselves with safety manuals.

Features

The Central Radiology Department belongs to the Central Clinical Department of the hospital and consists of 24 radiology technologists (19 males and 5 females). Our main services include X-ray, mammography, CT, MRI, angiography, TV, and RI, as well as radiotherapy. We are focus on patient safety, and actively compiles incident reports and shares information. We are also making efforts to reduce medical exposure from examinations using radiation (X-rays, CT scans, etc.). The staff actively participates in various academic conferences and training sessions, and is always studying.

Equipments

X-ray RADspeed Pro style edition GLIDE Class (Shimadzu) and 2 other models

FPD type X-ray systems for standing and supine X-ray scanning. It enables high image quality imaging at a low dose, and at our hospital, imaging is performed at a dose lower than the 75% standard value of DRL (Diagnostic Reference Level).

The power of the magnet enables tomographic imaging of the entire body. It is also powerful in detecting cerebral aneurysms because it can depict blood vessels without the use of contrast media. At our hospital, we have two units of 3.0T-MRI for examination.

80-row X-ray CT Aquilion Helios (Cannon Medical)

This CT system is equipped with the latest technologies such as short scanning time, reduced radiation exposure, and elimination of metal artifacts. In addition, the Zio Station 2 workstation can be used to instantly create 3D cerebrovascular images and virtual bronchoscopes.

The high speed rotation of 0.33 seconds per rotation enables whole body imaging in a short time. It is especially effective in cardiac examinations, which are vulnerable to movement. We have three CT systems: two 64-row CT systems and one 80-row CT system.
